ORDER NOW - SHIPPING FROM 29.10.2026

Product description

The nebuliser is the part of the BIBO Pulmifier® that turns the inhalation solution into a fine mist. It sits directly in front of the nostrils so that the aerosol gets as close to the airways as possible.

Inside, vibrating mesh technology powered by Aerogen® technology is at work: a vibrating membrane with thousands of fine holes produces a particularly fine aerosol, nearly silently and without compressed air. Aerogen® is regarded as the world market leader in aerosol drug delivery in acute care in human medicine.

The nebuliser is built for regular use in the stable and designed for up to 2,000 applications*. After that, or whenever needed, it is simply replaced: plug the new nebuliser onto the BIBO Pulmifier® Controller, fill it and carry on inhaling straight away.

How the BIBO Pulmifier® works

Plug the nebuliser onto the BIBO Pulmifier® Controller, fill it with the inhalation solution and start the device. Plug & Play, without hoses and without intermediate steps.

  • 73.3 % of droplets 5 μm or smaller
  • Nebulisation rate 0.8-1.2 ml/min

  • Operation: 5 to 45 °C, up to 95 % humidity
Use & Cleaning

After each use, briefly nebulise approximately 1 ml of B. Braun Saline Solution 0.9% 500 ml to dissolve residues. Then gently rinse the nebuliser with about five sprays of Höfer Chemie® Isopropanol 70% 250 ml. If desired, you can also rinse it with a little B. Braun Distilled Water 500 ml. Isopropanol and distilled water are not nebulised. Finally, leave the nebuliser open to air dry.

Storage

Only store the nebuliser when it is completely dry, as residual moisture can encourage mould. At sub-zero temperatures, residual liquid in the nebuliser can freeze, so in winter it is best stored at room temperature. For storage and transport, −20 to +60 °C at 15 to 95 % humidity are permitted.

Safety Notice

Isopropanol and distilled water are used for cleaning only and are not nebulised. Please discuss with your veterinarian which inhalation solution is suitable for your horse. Please observe the instructions for use of the BIBO Pulmifier®.
