Anyone dealing with equine inhalation for the first time quickly notices how complicated many devices seem. Hoses, cables, loud technology, or complex setups often cause uncertainty even before the first use.
The BIBO Pulmifier® Launch Edition deliberately takes a different approach. The inhalation set combines easy handling with state-of-the-art nebulisation technology and the quietest possible application in daily stable life.
The BIBO Pulmifier® was developed together with horse owners and veterinarians from the Gross-Wallstadt Equine Clinic (Germany). Many details emerged directly from experiences in daily interaction with horses undergoing inhalation. Because in the stable, often not only the pure nebulisation performance matters, but also how uncomplicated and reliable an equine inhaler can be integrated into everyday life.
That's why its use is deliberately kept simple. Plug & Play. Connect the two parts, fill the nebuliser and start the device. No preparation, no intermediate steps. Especially for horse owners with no previous experience with an inhaler, and for young or restless horses, the simple and quiet application helps in everyday life.
Nebuliser & Controller
The nebuliser works with modern Vibrating-Mesh powered by Aerogen® technology. Aerogen® is considered a world leader in aerosol drug delivery in acute human medical care.
This forms the basis of the BIBO Pulmifier®.
At the same time, the nebuliser was deliberately designed for regular use in the stable. With a lifespan of up to 2,000 applications, the BIBO Pulmifier® reliably supports long-term inhalation routines.
In the stable, an inhaler for horses must not only nebulize well, but also be practical. That's why the controller is IP44 protected – against solid foreign bodies larger than 1 mm and against splashing water from all directions. The controller is also equipped with a bumper to protect against impacts.
Thanks to battery operation, inhalation remains flexible in daily stable life. The horse inhaler can be used on the move and easily taken between the stall, stable aisle or trailer.
Clear signals with every inhalation
When switched on, the BIBO Pulmifier® performs a short self-test, which is accompanied by an acoustic signal. If the green power indicator is lit, the device is ready for use. During nebulisation, a green illuminated ring indicates that the inhalation is in progress. If the ring flashes, the application is paused.
Once the inhalation solution has been completely nebulised, the device recognises this automatically. Three short acoustic signals indicate that the application is complete, and the horse inhaler automatically switches to standby mode.
The battery level is also visible at all times. Four LEDs indicate the charge in 25% increments. If the last LED glows orange, the battery has enough power for approximately one 10 ml inhalation. A yellow warning triangle indicates that the connection between the nebuliser and the controller should be checked.
If the device is not in use, it switches off automatically: after 3 minutes in standby mode, and after 10 minutes when paused.
Mask & Strap
The anatomically shaped PE PureFit Mask contains an antibacterial additive* that reduces bacteria by 99.99% after 24 hours, which also keeps the regular care of the mask straightforward. The soft neoprene sleeve provides maximum flexibility and pleasant wearing comfort. Particularly practical in everyday stable life is the included BioThane® strap with 2-in-1 function: it can be used either as a classic neck strap or directly as a halter strap. This allows the mask to be attached in different ways depending on the horse and your usual handling. The PE PureFit Mask is available in the colours Sand, Dark Oak and Lagoon.

The anatomically shaped mask is made of PE material with an antibacterial silver additive*, which reduces the bacterial count by 99.99% within 24 hours.

The included BioThane® retaining strap combines two functions in one strap: It can be used either as a classic neck strap or attached directly to the halter. This allows the mask to be attached flexibly depending on the horse and preferred method of handling.
The valves located at the bottom ensure controlled airflow within the mask. This allows the horse to breathe unimpeded while the aerosol mist remains inside the mask.
The soft neoprene sleeve seals around the horse's nose and ensures maximum flexibility and a comfortable fit during inhalation.
The nebulizer sits directly in front of the nostrils and generates the aerosol mist inside the mask. Thanks to the aerosol chamber integrated into the mask, the mist is directed precisely into the nostrils. The custom-shaped aerosol chamber was developed in collaboration with veterinarians from the Gross-Wallstadt Equine Clinic (Germany).

Is the BIBO Pulmifier® also suitable for sensitive horses?
The BIBO Pulmifier® works almost silently. Especially with noise-sensitive or nervous horses, this can ensure more calm during inhalation. The masks are also designed for a comfortable fit: Soft seals close around the horse's nose without the mask feeling unnecessarily hard. This minimizes additional stimuli during inhalation.
How easy is it to set up the BIBO Pulmifier®?

Can the inhaler also be used on the go?

The PE PureFit Mask is anatomically shaped and features an antibacterial additive*. The neoprene sleeve seals around the horse's nose, ensuring a secure, flexible fit and high wearing comfort. The included BioThane® strap can be used as a neck or halter strap as needed. Additionally, the mask is available in Sand, Dark Oak, and Lagoon.
